The detectives are dealing with an unusual case: the husband of successful real estate agent Birgit Leibold reports his wife as kidnapped. Detective Beissl is skeptical, wondering whether Klaus Leibold himself might be involved—especially when it turns out that the agent's facade is more appearance than reality: Birgit Leibold is broke! Is the husband now trying to get back on his feet financially by staging a fake kidnapping? The unusual ransom sum leads the detectives' investigations into the real estate world. A secret deal between the agent and her best friend, Veronika Berger, presents the detectives with a mystery.
