Narrated by The Project's own frequent flyer and funny woman Susie Youssef, this series taxis viewers behind the scenes of Melbourne Airport, Australia's busiest 24-hour runway to the world.
Last year, 35 million passengers and thousands of flights passed through its terminals. But behind every seamless departure and arrival is a team of dedicated professionals working around the clock to ensure the airport runs safely and efficiently.
This gripping documentary series follows the air traffic controllers who navigate congested skies, ensuring aircraft land and take off without a hitch. On the ground, baggage handlers, security teams, customs officers, and emergency responders work tirelessly to keep everything moving, often under intense pressure.
Whether it's managing last-minute flight diversions, responding to medical emergencies, or handling unexpected security threats, every shift presents a new challenge.
With exclusive access to restricted areas and high-pressure moments, this is your boarding pass to the world behind the departures board — a place where no two days are the same and every second counts.
So fasten your seatbelts, stow your tray tables, and prepare for departure — because Airport 24/7 is about to land on your screens.
