The second shock comes when they meet an unusual stranger whose mysterious ways both fascinate and unsettle them. Meanwhile, back in Harper Valley, Uncle Buster and Mayor Otis hear a news report that an ax murderer has escaped from prison and was last seen in the area of the Grizzly Gap campground.
